Radio
Management (RM) facilitates the creation of an extremely efficient radio
programming configuration. Radio
Management allows you to manage and program multiple radios at a time.
Radio codeplugs
are stored on a central database server allowing for remote configuration
of data and remote programming of radios. A
single codeplug can be used
as a template, which can then be shared across
multiple radios. Template edits may then be easily applied to all affected
radios. Changes to a template or to an individual radio’s parameters can
be scheduled
as a programming job.
Programming
Jobs may be scheduled through an Over-The-Air (OTAP) connection or through a
USB
or Wi-Fi connection. With a
USB or Wi-Fi connection, Gang Programming and Gang FLASHing allows for
simultaneous programming and simultaneous software upgrading of up to
16 radios.
The Four Components of Radio Management:
The CPS Radio Management (RM) system is designed to allow for all four components to be located on one computer, or on multiple computers.
There is only one RM Server per system
Many Radio Management Clients (RMCs) are possible
Many Device Programmer are possible
Many Job Processors are possible
Common Radio Management Tasks Include:
